The first “medical implant material forming robot” in the country has been officially mass-produced by WAROM Technology and delivered to Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. This equipment was jointly developed by the hospital and the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It overcame the problems of poor adaptability, high cost, and long operation time of traditional implants, and achieved a major breakthrough in personalized intelligent manufacturing of jawbone implants.
The birth of this “medical implant material forming robot” originated from the in-depth industry-university-research cooperation between WAROM Technology Co., Ltd., Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, and Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The technology transfer project signing was successfully completed at the end of April this year.
